Resort Info
Because the whole of the Courchevel Valley is accessible through the excellent lift system, you can get to most places by ski. However, if you prefer to start skiing from a different area, or you find yourself in another part of the resort after the lifts have closed (make sure you check the closing times!), you can take one of the free ‘navette’ ski buses, which operate throughout the season. The buses run regularly throughout the day, right up until late at night. You will not need to pay to use the ski buses, as they are provided free of charge throughout the ski season—even if you don’t ski! This means you can also travel about in the evening to other parts of the resort, without worrying about how you’re going to get back home.
You can take a virtual tour of the mountains to see what they’re actually like in Winter—not quite the same as being there, but almost as good! Simply click the images below and tour to your heart’s content. The 6 panoramic photos were taken by our own Damian in December 2004. In the bottom photo of the village, you can see the entrance to our Marquis apartment, just to the left of the no-entry sign, next to Gilbert Sports shop.
Note: the virtual tours are flash movies and may take a few seconds (or longer) to download—be patient, it’ll be worth it! You will need the flash plug-in enabled in your browser to view and interact with the tours.
