‘Domaine de l’Ariondaz’ is the tallest building you will see as you leave Courchevel Moriond, and is easy to find. It is one of the last buildings on the left hand side as you drive up the road, immediately opposite the bus stop, and just before the sign which indicates you are leaving Courchevel Moriond. If you arrive by coach, ask the driver to stop at the last bus stop in Courchevel Moriond, so that you only need to walk across the road! Our apartment is on the second floor, (ES) and is served by a lift, which makes it easy to transfer your luggage. For those driving to the resort, you can park free of charge in the car park immediately in front of the building, or in the overflow car park on the opposite side of the road—it couldn’t be more convenient for you! You can take your luggage straight through the ski locker area on the ground floor into one of two lifts.
We have a one-bedroom apartment of 38m2 which comfortably sleeps 4 people, but can accommodate up to 5, using a double bedroom, one double sofa-bed (mattress 6'6" x 4'8" x 5") and one single sofa bed (mattress 6'6" x 2'5" x 5") within the living area. The bedroom has tall wardrobe units and storage units above the bed, and English/French power sockets on either side of the bed. There's a seat under the window, and the room is heated by a radiator, also underfloor heating. The ottoman bed has a very comfortable mattress, with space inside the divan base to store the quilts and pillows.
The apartment contains everything you will need to enjoy your self-catering holiday, including free Wi-Fi, all bed linen, towels and tea towels. Duvets and pillows are provided for each bed. The living area comprises two sofa beds and modern kitchen, with plenty of storage space in the upper and lower units. The high quality applicances include a single oven, 4-ring induction hob, microwave and dishwasher. Kitchen equipment includes an electric coffee maker and a slow cooker - ideal for returning from the slopes to a tasty casserole! Entertainment is provided by a flat screen Samsung LCD TV and DVD, and a Panasonic Bluetooth Speaker System (SC-NE1), enabling you to play your music from a mobile/tablet device.
There is a separate toilet, next to the bathroom. The bathroom has a bath, shower and handbasin, with a heated towel rail. The flooring is porcelain tiles with underfloor heating throughout, and separate radiator, and there is a permanent supply of hot water—no waiting around for baths or showers!
Our large balcony is south facing, which means we get the sun all day, so you can relax in the sun with a drink at the end of a strenuous day. The view from the apartment is stunning, enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the mountains in the distance. All in all, this is an absolutely fantastic location for your holiday.
The apartment is excellently positioned for skiing directly from the back door to the nearby lift (Petit Moriond). The blue Cèpes piste also offers an easy route back to the apartment, making this a genuine ski-in/ski-out facility.
