Le Marquis

Le Marquis is located in one of the best areas in Moriond, right in the heart of the resort, close to the main Tourist Information Office, and very near to the main Ariondaz gondola. It is probably better suited for those with young children, as everything is virtually at the doorstep, and the slopes are just 50 metres away, making this ideal if you're having lessons, as ski school starts here!

This is also an ideal location if you wish to go back to the apartment for lunch, rather than eating out on the slopes. Our apartment is on the valley side of the building, so you don't get any noise at all from the resort, making this an extremely quiet location.

If arriving by coach, get off at the first stop in Courchevel Moriond, opposite the Tourist Office. Le Marquis is about 100 metres away, just past the Hotel du Golf, and above Gilbert Sports shop.

The apartment contains everything you will need to enjoy your self-catering holiday, including free Wi-Fi, all bed linen, towels and tea towels—duvets and pillows are provided for each bed.

Our apartment is located on the top floor (4th floor), and is a ‘duplex’ apartment of 30m2, including a mezzanine floor, which comfortably sleeps 4 people. The living area comprises a double sofa bed and modern kitchen, with plenty of storage space in the upper and lower units. The high quality applicances include a single oven, 4-ring induction hob, microwave and dishwasher. Kitchen equipment includes an electric coffee maker and a slow cooker - ideal for returning from the slopes to a tasty casserole! Entertainment is provided by a flat screen Samsung LCD TV and DVD, and a Panasonic Bluetooth Speaker System (SC-NE1), enabling you to play your music from a mobile/tablet device.

There is a separate toilet, next to the bathroom. The bathroom has a bath, shower and handbasin, with a heated towel rail. The flooring on the ground floor is porcelain tiles (mezzanine floor is carpeted), heating is by a separate radiator, and there is a permanent supply of hot water—no waiting around for baths or showers! The ground floor has electric underfloor heating which means that the apartment can be used at any time of the year, even when the central heating isn't available.

Upstairs on the mezzanine floor, which is laid to soft carpet, are two single 'clic-clac' beds, which can be pushed together to form a double bed if required; although the photo suggests the mattresses are on the floor, they sit on the bed frame and are deep and comfortable, just low because of the limited headspace! There's a spacious mirrored wardrobe, with plenty of space to keep your clothes and suitcases, where we also store the quilts and pillows.

There is a small balcony, facing east, with superb views of the Dent du Villard mountain range, and further afield you can look out to the resort of La Plagne.

We have three ski lockers for you to use, which have plenty of space to hold all of your skiing and snowboarding equipment. On the ground floor of the building you will find Gilbert Sports shop, where you can hire your ski and board equipment at a discount of 15% for our guests. We also recommend Precision Ski which is a 5 minute walk away, the last shop as you walk up the road towards 1850, just past the Club Hotel. Precision Ski is one of the best value shops in Courchevel, where online discounts up to 60% are available.

All in all, therefore, this property is perfect as a self-contained apartment throughout the year, with everything required to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Although there is no designated space for car parking, you are able to park in the Cîmes Blanches underground car park, just 50 metres away, which has space for over 400 cars. The car park has a height limit of 2.15 metres, and you'll find more information and parking prices on their website. In the summer, and 'out of season', parking is allowed on the streets, but check where you park on market days!

We respectfully ask that you take responsibility for keeping the apartment clean during your stay. All we ask is that you ensure the apartment is clean when you leave. It would also be helpful if you could replace any breakages—we do not charge for these, but rely on you to ensure there are enough things for the next user.
